This was one of her first paintings....showing shadow and structure.
This was a live painting, light, texture and color.
Betty Jo loves cats.
This was a scratch board piece. This was Betty's first try at scratch board and the hummingbird eye is exquisite. The feathers, the posture is remarkable. Way to go Betty Jo.
This watercolor is of a church window in Trenton...The Lost Coin....Betty has an infinity for detail in this piece.
Another cat, but the temperature of the paint, and posture of the body definitely reminds me of a cat in the jungle. Sunlight hits one side and shadow the other.....
The art team is practicing a new mini mural for Bud Morton, our retired pastor, and I have asked them to practice hummingbirds and flowers. Since the class has joint leaders, I was inspired at Picking and Grinning last night to practice a graphite hummingbird. I have attached it.
Looking forward to tomorrows art class....we have some new people coming and I can't wait to see what God has in store for their art projects. k
